Wondering what these numbers signify or have some of you already guessed it. For the ones who haven't been able to figure it out, you can carry on a bit more with the guessing game.
Pondering...
Numbers....numbers...numbers....its everywhere. Whether you are literate or illiterate you can't avoid them be it the subzi-mandi (vegetable market), bus-stop, kitchen, calender, tombstone,....coz our life itself begins with numbers and we keep counting till our last breath.
How much do we value these numbers or do we allow these numbers to rule our lives? Apart from the first digit rest all are the multiples of 5. Still haven't got a clue of what i am talking about. Well, you will in a couple of minutes...
We give so much of value to the starting and ending points but forget the mid-way. Only certain dates or numbers seem to have value or significance for some of us, rest of the numbers loses its significance. What i am hinting at is the significance of certain numbers such as 1st, 25th, 50, 100 and so on. We measure or assess our lives or things at such numerical intervals, rest of the time we prefer to enjoy our sweet slumber. We tend to make a person feel special only on their b'days or anniversaries or special days like mother's day or father's day and then we coolly forget them until the same day next year.
Let not this happen. Lets not get stuck with only certain numbers and days. Let us celebrate each day and each moment with the same enthusiasm and excitement.
This is my 51st post so let me too enjoy the joys that my blogobaby has brought me.
There are a couple of awards that my blogopals have conferred on me. I am able to put up only a few of them here due to paucity of time. Will put up the rest later, sorry for the delay.

its hard to believe this is only your 51st post...i think at my 51st post i may have been lucky to have 6 readers...lol. well deserved awards and thanks for thinking of me. smiles.
Shahs,
Thank you for stopping by. And thank you for your feedback; it is very encouraging. I read your blog it is very promising. You have many followers - Nice to have so many readers.
My suggestions to all young writers,
1. Stay away from 55 fiction, and such things. It is not for serious writers.
2. Stay away from slang and flowery language.
3. Write for yourself.
4. Don’t use text message language
Thanks a lot for – Beautiful Blogger award. I don’t know how the awards work. This is my first award. Hence, I am quite thrilled. I am not much into awards and networking.
Good luck with your writing. It is very enriching. Write for yourself. Write simple stories – day to day life. Read good books. Find out how seasonal writers write. Take care.

Dear Shas:
Congrats on the 51st. As Brian remarked, hard to think that its only your 51st. Commendable with so many followers and comments.
Congrats to all of them who have been awarded.
Shas, I listen to this song 'Sleep' from your MP3 collection over and over. Its such a lovely number! (The best part is that it does not take any time to boot or buffer)
Shall follow your thoughts here on.
May you see a thousand and more posts!
Joy always,
Susan
I am delighted. :)
Keep SMiling...
@ Urvashi,

@ Ashu,
Thanks! You deserved it. So, it took an award to make you realise that you are a buddy, too :D
I may not be able to award each and every follower n commentator or make them feel special on such occasions but each one of them are special to me :)
@ Brian,
Pinch..pinch it is :)

It's always a special gift when it comes from daughter..I'm too delighted...feel too pampered!
Only to mention stealthy intrusion of "u' replacing "a"...all amongst vowels...as I wrote once..
"Yes, Barman, as I am; Not a man alike the
Bur of a creeper, but of a bar for a sipper."
With all my affection,
Now, separately, on your post.
An impressive thought...difficult to practice, but once done, one is in ocean of mirthful celebration of life..and time too !
Numbers, Oh my ruthless friends !!
I reflected on my dreams...

Perhaps, my count has not yet crossed 50 in over three years of blogging...I need to count it surely...

Congratulation!!
Hi Shas!!
That is a very sweet post!! Congratulations!! Keep Blogging!!
Sweet. Congrats. :)
nice perspective.
but i think one tends to attach less importance gradually.
like the diminishing marginal utility in economics.
so while a 50 means something, a 850 won't mean the same..
