At the end of the day she struggles to get into an overcrowded train. Fighting her way in as a few push their way out. Looks for her favourite spot to station herself as people get in and get out of that little coach. She discovers that her place has already been occupied by someone else so she waits eagerly for that person to leave and wonders if she would get that spot before she reaches her destination. She waits and waits swaying in the middle of the coach as the train jerks and moves and snakes through the tunnel.

Hey- So isnt this more like a question mark. Who is this girl and did she finally get her place or suspense like the movie "wednesday"!!
BTB I have scribbled few lines about Gulfi's life on my page. Dont forget to sneak in there for a glance.

hi shas
@ sush,
This girl can be anybody, one amongst the million faces that pass by you. No, it isn't a thriller or suspense. It was just a fragment of mind. Will check out yours :)
@ The Aspirant,
Yep :)
@ desigirl,
Hmm...ya :)
@ sneha,
Twin reply or are the two of you different ;)
@ Makk,

@ Unknown,

life was fun ..even with all the chaos!
How true.. i too do this :P
But eventually my destination arrives and i have to leave that says i never get a seat :D ..
and the wait goes on and on

Nice one!!
Vivek. (of necker cubicle)
nice post.... sumtimes i too had such feelings in a busy crowded evening to get my own spot in a bus
i liked it.. :)
Wait goes on and she gets down. Nice b/w picture choice.
You know during this one eve after work at Rajiv Chowk I stood by to notice people and their behavior; they were all in a hurry, they were all running, they were all thinking, they were all fighting but all alone!
Weird isn't? In spite of having so many people around, most of us are usually alone emotionally, mentally and at times physically too!
Did she get her favourite seat?
:)
@ Harman,
Thanks for sharing that with us :)
@ Alcina,
Its almost everybody's story :)
Metro = this ..:)
ya, it can be any girl :)
@ Sankoobaba,
Will let you know what happens next in the next m. musing :)
@ Vivek,
Thanks! :)
@ Anjali,
Thanks!
@ A,
Thanks! Ya but lot happens before that :)
Dont we all look for our comfort zone in our lives.sometimes we get our place & sometimes no..Maybe there are places outside of our comfort zones ..maybe we forget to look around..Good one Sh..simple words but feel a lot in it
a delicious capture of the moment...in an honesty maybe she is better for not getting the usual and gaining a new perspective...
Good one
Trying boarding a Bombay local train during peak hours...
Reminds me of Mumbai locals..:).. Is that what you're talking about?
@ Sourav,
Ya, right. Is it an urban phenomenon or simply life? Many a times I wonder.
@ Blasphemous Aesthete,
You shall get to know about it in the next m. musing :)
@ Being Pramoda,
Yep :)
@ Shail,
Right :)
@ Compassion Unlimitted,
Thanks! Ya, right. That was a philosophical comment. Only when deprived or denied, do we try looking for other alternatives. So, denial can be productive too, I guess.
@ Brian Miller,
Yaa, in a way :)
@ The Survivor,
Thanks! Oooh...I wouldn't try that. Its scary. I salute all Mumbaikars for braving it :)
@ Pepper,
I am talking about Delhi Metro rail.
Thankfully, the daily metro ride routine is over for me! :)
But, it did make a huge lot of a difference when they segregated a compartment for women!:)
@ akanksha,
Ya, women's compartment is such a big relief though a lot of men have been complaining about it. Otherwise it was a nightmare travelling earlier especially in the peak hours.
Happily clicking a clickable sleeping man on the metro I one fine afternoon. Two days later I saw a yellow sticker stuck on the metro near the A/C vents - No photography allowed. ;)
BTW, whats with so much of javascript? Oink Boink? Its not very pretty.
