She held her dad's head on her
tiny lap and cried with joy as he responded to her cries. He gradually regained his senses and saw her through his blood stuck eyes and, couldn’t stop his tears from flowing out of it along with the blood. He found himself in the middle of an
open graveyard. His business lay in ruins and he had no idea how he would resurrect
it. He clutched his daughter to his heart as if she was the most precious thing
on this earth and cried like a madman, happy to see her alive where he had lost
his son and wife a few years back. The horror had visited him again. Yet, he
managed to smile, smile amidst tears, dust, ruins, blood and horror. For that is what
this city had taught him over and over again.
P.S. I couldn't think of a better title coz this is happening again and again and I am afraid to say that it has almost become a daily (though in certain intervals 2003, 2006, 2008, 2011) tale.
I salute the spirit of Mumbaikars. May God give them the strength to bear the loss and pain. I am so angry with the whole system but there is no point in ranting it out here. Thats what we have been doing each time this episode got repeated. I loathe myself as I sit silent and helpless like many and simply watch the drama unfold yet, again.

Resilience of human beings is amazing. As Benjamin Franklin said a long time back,HUMAN BEINGS ARE A MOST ADAPTALE OF THE ANIMALS..but does this mean we take this nonsense everytime it happens. Our impotence is exposed everytime & tears in silence is the only outcome.May the departed souls rest in peace
hats off to people of mumbai who get up the next day and go to work and try to bring back normalcy..
I hope the GOVT does something now and stop such strocities happening in our country

@ Clouds,
Sorry, if you were hurt by my words though my idea wasn't to hurt anybody. I guess, you missed the sarcasm in it. What I meant by that was that the regularity of such incidents no longer continue to shock us. You must have noticed that how quickly we got over this incident as yet another one.
Sh@s,
This is now getting out of limits. Only ones to suffer are common people. Those who indulge in this criminal activities do not understand that no religion teaches violence against old, women, children and unarmed. It is selfish motives of their self proclaimed leaders who goad them into such acts in the name of reforms and religion. We, the people, have to unite and fight this menace.
Take care
