@ Ms.Nobody, I guess that sort of dependency will always be there coz we humans are quite complex and multi-dimensional so a single perspective isn't enough to understand self.
True sh,this longing is there with many but remains a distant mirage.Love ,one is tempted to ask ,does a thing like that exist !!If it does ,there are only chosen few who have enjoyed it..na na ,I am not a pessimist..lol
If I am I because I am I, And You are You because You are You, Then We are. But if I am I because You are You, And You are You because I am I, Then We are not.
So even in a close relationship one needs to accept the other for what he or she is and not try to change.
@ Compassion Unlimitted, Love is an elusive term thats all I can say. You might be right as you have seen more of life than me. No, you aren't a pessimist. There is an element of truth in your words. Off late, even I have begun to believe that maybe love is not meant for all.
@ Jack, Thanks! for sharing those lines. They are quite meaningful. I agree that one shouldn't try to change the other and should respect the individuality of the other. Love is powerful and by itself it changes one coz when we want to accommodate the one we love in our life we begin to make space for them and care about their likes and dislikes whereby we ourselves welcome that change in ourselves. So, change is inevitable.
