Nindiya re...

Sleep eludes when the mind is not at ease.
Eyes yearn to trap it even if it is for a fleeting moment.

Mother's lap (dad's too) is one place where we all found sleep effortlessly. Even when it was difficult, there were tender hands which lulled us into a gentle sleep. I miss the magic of those hands. I wonder, if I'll find sleep there again coz I know I'll worry about the well-being of those weary hands even as they would stroke me gently, coaxing me to sleep.

P.S. Tried uploading the video but I couldn't so just sharing the link of a beautiful song for insomniacs like me. Nindiya Re by Kaavish presented by Coke studio.

A mother's (or father's lap) is the safest haven that we can seek on this earth, or even in heaven too.

It's something worth missing till we get it :)

Sh@s,

Beautiful photograph. Takes me back to time when our children were of that age. Love of parents can be known only when you are one.

Take care
