Kuch adhuri baatein

Was listening to the above song and the following lines came to my mind so jotting them down here. The jottings are far away from what the song says.

सिर्फ तुम्हारा I

Translation: (This is a modified version of the above lines.)

Ask not for more light
From a dying candle,
Ask not for fragrance
From a dead rose,
Ask not for promises of a lifetime
From a dying person.

Ask not about the time that is to come,
Ask not for an account of the past,
I have no answers to them.
For no man had any hold over time and events.
Let the questions take care of its own answers
By living (in) this moment.
The present shall take care of the past and the time that is to come.

I want to live,
Live this moment
With you,
For it is yours,
Only yours.

It started with a classic of Hemanta...and went to explore a vista beyond of the past while tunes of life blowing from far therefrom...very nicely expressed...
Life indeed needs no answer to seek for...it flows on only upon the wings of endless questions...those remain its strength...
Thanks again for enriching my morning !!

You know, I really liked the older Dev Anand movies, before he started shaking his head like a pendulum.
